At the September 13, 2011 School Board meeting, the district once again received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials - International.
 
The district has received the award, typically earned by less than 20 of Minnesota's over 300 school districts, for the past five years, most recently for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for Fiscal Year Ended June 30, 2010.
 
Amy Schultz, Director of Business Services for the school district, thanked the business office staff and many others in the district for contributing to the success of receiving this award for a number of years in a row.
